There is only one version of the 1541 Ultimate currently (pre-)orderable:
The 1541U-II, for € 129.95 (incl. 21% sales-tax), thus € 107.40 excluding VAT. This new design comes with a plastic case and is a full redesign of the 1541U-I. It includes USB and real time clock, and the SD-card has been replaced with MicroSD. It does not have Ethernet initially. Ethernet is targeted to become available after a software update only. Keep an eye on the main page to learn about the project and production status.
If you like to order, please register with the site, and find the menu item "Order Now!" at the left of your screen. Fill out your info and you will be automatically added to the (pre-)order list.
Difference between pre-order and confirmed orders
Pre-ordering does not obligate you to actually BUY the unit; it is a measure for me to see how many units I need to produce. When you confirm your order, I do expect you to actually make a payment as well.
Shipping
The Ultimate card will be shipped to you as a personal postage package. If you are living outside of the European Union, your country may apply additional taxes upon receiving your package. Most likely, though, the value of the package is below the taxable limit, so you won’t be having any problems. Please go to the order page to see the shipping options.
Note on the use of German Mail (Deutsche Post) service: Since the product is made in the Netherlands, the units need to be shipped first to a representative in Germany to be able to use the shipping service from there. For people in the USA, Australia and all, it is really beneficial to select the option to ship through Germany, because TNT has become extremely expensive. Usually, the units are shipped out in batches of 20 to 30 pieces, since stock usually lags behind on the orders. If you select the cheaper Deutsche Post option, be aware that your shipment might be held until I have at least 10 boxes to send with this service. In general, this is not an issue and will not cause any delays over the TNT option.
Outside of the EU, the tax does not need to be paid. However, you might need to pay import tax upon receiving the package. Likely, this will be less than the 21% paid within the EU. When placing your order online, you will see the exact specification and total amount to pay. The same amount should appear on your order-status.

Never forget to clearly state your name and address, for a swift and easy handling of your order. If your personal info is not clear, or the amount is not correct, all I can do is just refund and you’d have to make your payment again.
